Do you really want to lose weight?
Before going through a
weight loss process you need to ask yourself the following questions. Do you really want to lose weight? And what are you willing to sacrifice to achieve this goal? These two questions are important and the answer to each will determine your final result. First you need to have the desire to get rid of the extra pounds. By desire we do not just mean 'wish' or simple desire but we mean real determination and willingness to change your life. Second, you should have in mind that weight loss may take time and needs a lot of sacrifices. These sacrifices have to do about your diet, activities and generally the way of life. You need to appreciate from the beginning of your efforts that the weight loss journey will be hard and that there may be obstacles in the way. If you’re positive about these then sit down, prepare your weight loss plan and stick to it until the final results. Some tips to help you out:
1. Go slowly and gradually. The maximum amount of weight you can lose per week should not be more than 2 pounds. Do not rush and lose a lot of weight very fast because in the long run this will create the opposite results.
2. Stay away from crash diets and products that promise rapid results. They do not work, they are unhealthy and dangerous. Only follow guides and practices that are based on healthy guides.
3. Keep a daily calendar to record the type and quantities of food you eat. This information can be used after a couple of weeks to analyze your diet patterns, calculate the number of calories you consume daily and make the necessary changes to your diet in order to replace high calorie foods with items low in calories and fat.
4. Eat only on the table and at predefined hours. When trying to lose weight it's important to keep a constant schedule and eat your meals approximately at the same time every day. Also get rid of the habits like eating when watching TV or when chatting with friends. Put some discipline in what, where and when you eat.
5. Do not hurry when eating. Eat slowly and chew your food well. This way you can assist the digestion process and you will your body store less fat.
